The Barrie Construction Association has scheduled a “lunch and learn” seminar to discuss the provisions requiring employers ensuring “their workers and supervisors have completed a basic health and safety awareness training program,” as of July 1.  “There is free training that meets the requirements,” the BCA notice says. “Find out how to access and complete it to become compliant.”

BCA executive officer Alison Smith says the discussion of the implications of the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations  is “NOT a health and safety awareness certification course — this course is for information only.”

The event will run from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Wed. June 11 at the BCA offices, 200 Brock St.
