Motorcycle Ride for Cancer most successful in recent years

On Sunday, June 8, riders mounted their bikes and took off for a beautiful, sunny ride through the Muskokas.
This year’s Ride for Cancer was the most successful in recent years. Not only did we have an outstanding number of participants, but the money raised was a staggering $8,300. Thank you to the Ride for Cancer Committee for organizing such a successful day.
Past BCA president Scott Ward came up with the idea six years ago, and the event has been a success each and every year since.
This year’s well-marked route (thanks to John Cuppage of Shouldice Stone) included stops in Waubausheneand the scenic Lake Rosseau.
Staff and board members handed out “Muskoka Money Madness” cards at selected stops en route and the rider with the most money at the end of the day was Devon Bonwick of Bon Mech Inc. He generously donated his winnings back to the cause.
The pack enjoyed a delicious barbeque in Bracebridge hosted by BCA member CRS-Contractors Rental Supply.
