Last October, the BCA partnered with the Simcoe County Heavy Construction Association (SCHCA) to promote skilled trades as a viable career option. In October, the Ontario Construction Career Alliance assisted us to give students a one of a kind experience.
Select high school students from both the Simcoe County District School Board and the Simcoe-Muskoka Catholic School Board visited both civil and commercial construction sites in Barrie. CRS-Contractors Rental Supply generously opened its doors to further enhance the students’ experience as they toured the CRS yard and enjoyed lunch.
In the fall both BCA and SCHCA hosted booths at the Simcoe Muskoka Skilled Trade Expo in Elmvale.
