The Simcoe County Museum and the Historical Construction Equipment Association are once again teaming up to present Wheels & Tracks in Motion.

This year’s featured piece, the 1929 Wilford Power Shovel, is a fine example of the power shovels used in many different areas of construction, including some extensive road alterations in the Canadian Rockies, as well as closer to home.

Wheels & Tracks in Motion, showcasing the 1929 Wilford and other vintage equipment such as road- graders, earth-movers, dozers, steamrollers, and rock crushers, takes place Saturday June 8 and Sunday June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stay for the day and enjoy a BBQ sausage or hot dog, or pack your own lunch to enjoy at one of our covered picnic areas. The Museum’s permanent displays will also be open for viewing during this event. Regular Museum rates apply: Adults $6, Student/Senior $5, Child $4, Museum Members and Preschoolers receive free admission.

The Simcoe County Museum is located at 1151 Highway 26, just minutes north of Barrie.
