Tatham Engineering has launched a formal Corporate Giving Program, pledging a portion of its annual revenue to charitable causes, with a major focus on health care and community well-being across its six Ontario office locations.

The program, which officially begins in 2026, was unveiled June 5 during the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (CGMH) Foundation’s annual Mad River Classic golf tournament. At the event, Tatham announced a $500,000, seven-year commitment to the CGMH Foundation — the company’s largest-ever charitable contribution.

The new initiative formalizes Tatham’s long-standing community involvement and will direct two-thirds of its giving toward health care initiatives, including primary care centres like CGMH, as well as mental health services, hospice care, health education and wellness programs.

“Our goal is to ensure that our giving is both impactful and aligned with the values of our people,” said Dan Hurley, president of Tatham Engineering. “By formalizing our approach, we’re creating a consistent and transparent framework that empowers our offices to support the causes that matter most to them.”

Tatham has been the title sponsor of the Mad River Classic since 2011 and has supported several CGMH campaigns over the years, helping fund equipment such as a new CT scanner and the hospital’s first MRI.

“Throughout the years, Tatham has supported numerous campaigns to help us purchase vital equipment,” said Jory Pritchard-Kerr, president and CEO of the CGMH Foundation. “Now, they are investing in the future of health care, with this generous gift towards a new hospital for South Georgian Bay. We are incredibly grateful.”

Each of Tatham’s offices — located in Collingwood, Barrie, Orillia, Bracebridge, Guelph and Ottawa — will also have the flexibility to support local initiatives meaningful to their teams.

Founded in Collingwood, Tatham Engineering is an employee-owned consulting firm offering a wide range of services including municipal infrastructure, water resources, structural engineering, and environmental consulting. The company employs over 200 professionals across Ontario.
