BCA sets February slate of meetings, awards and Lunch and Learn sessions

The Barrie Construction Association has scheduled a series of February events offering opportunities to network, recognize industry achievements and strengthen their knowledge, including an annual meeting and awards night as well as two Lunch and Learn sessions focused on compliance and emerging technology.

Coming up:

February 19 – Annual and Special Meeting & Superbowl 2026 Celebration

The business portion of the evening will take place immediately after dinner and will include:

  • Spotlight, Safety, Women in Construction and Young Leaders Awards
  • President’s address – Financials & By-Laws• Bursary awards and Board Nominations
  • Super Bowl 2026 Celebration includes Tailgate Dinner, Football Competitions, Trivia and Two Tickets to see the Argonauts at BMO Field for the individual with the most team spirit!

February 17 – Lunch N Learn – HR and Health and Safety Compliance Best Practices

Experts Robert Babcock and Olivia Cicchini will jointly lead the session, focusing on HR and Health and Safety compliance best practices for businesses in the Ontario construction industry. They will also cover recent legislative updates under the Working for Workers Seven Act, 2025 (Bill 30), along with guidance on preparing for upcoming Ministry of Labour (MOL) inspection blitzes in the construction sector.

February 24 – Lunch N Learn – Construction’s Digital Future: AI, Data, and the Connected Site
