Community Involvement: BCA’s support for local charities and organzations

Barrie Construction Association members not only build and rebuild our community physically, they also work towards improving the overall health of our community by supporting charities and other organizations. BCA members supported the following charities and organizations in our community this past year:

Festival of Trees – Festival of Trees lights are lit during the Santa Claus parade and remain lit till the spring. Fundraising proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Barrie.

barrie food bankBarrie Food Bank – The Barrie Construction Association was proud to be a community supporter through the launch of the Food Bank Challenge. For every dollar that was donated by our members, the BCA matched it up to $2000.00. Members also assisted with a Food Sort to keep the operation running smoothly!

bca bowlingBig Brothers/Big Sisters Bowling – members participated in a bowling challenge right here in the BCA parking lot and supported the littles with donations – The Construction Challenge was the most successful campaign this year raising more than $30,000.


golf tournamementBCA members supported Camphill Communities by raising funds at our annual Spring Golf Tournament

BCA’s Rowdy Ride was postponed due to inclement weather, we will try again in the fall with funds being raised for youth seeking assistance from the local chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association
