March 25 is the Bowl for Kids Sake Construction Challenge Day at Bowlerama Bayfield Mall in Barrie.

During the Bowl for Kids Sake campaign, more than 250 corporate and community teams work together to raise money, which means that more than 1,300 people are involved with our community fundraiser for a six to eight-week period.

On average, each of the 1300+ participants collect 10 pledges – that’s 13,000+ people who hear about our campaign from a friend or colleague. In addition to tremendous word-of-mouth promotion, Bowl for Kid Sake is supported by a media campaign that includes radio, print, social media, and our website.

Money raised during Bowl for Kids Sake will fund mentorship programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Barrie and District, including Couples Mentoring, Go Girls, Game On After School Program and Big Bunch.

“Mentoring matters! Every time we pair a child with a mentor, we start something incredible – a life-changing relationship built on friendship, trust and empowerment. By supporting Bowl for Kids Sake, you help ensure that we can provide high quality mentoring programs,” a Big Brothers/Big Sisters press release says.
