The Barrie Construction Association (BCA) has partnered with the City of Barrie to host a construction industry job fair on Thurs., May 2 at the Allandale Recreation Centre (190 Bayview Dr., Barrie) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“Promoting the construction industry as a viable career option is the top priority of the Barrie Construction Association,” said Alison Smith, executive director of the BCA. “We look forward to connecting our members with interested job seekers.”
Job seekers are invited to learn more about available career opportunities and make connections with local employers hoping to fill jobs in the construction industry.
“Barrie is booming with residential and commercial development and there is a need for skilled workers in the construction industry,” said Stephannie Schlichter, director of economic and creative development at the City of Barrie. “Working with the Barrie Construction Association on this job fair is one way we can help connect talent with local employers in the construction industry to ensure they are positioned for success as more houses are built and developments are undertaken across our growing community.”
