Barrie Construction Report special feature
As an approved General Motors Business Elite Dealer — dedicated to fleet and commercial sales and service – Georgian Chevrolet also has a unique physical location apart from the main dealership that offers commercial/fleet customers an environment strictly devoted to their specific business needs.
“Currently, the two fleet and commercial sales personnel —Don Bradley and Nick Kloepfer — have a combined total of over 40 years of fleet and commercial experience,” said Don Bradley, business elite manager.
“Also, our assistant service manager, Charlene Storey, has been providing outstanding commercial service support for over 15 years. There’s no big secret to providing exceptional customer service – knowledgeable, honest, consistent and timely interactions with customers are the essentials for this relationship-based business.
“Our priorities will always line up with these key behaviours.”
“As one of Canada’s top GM dealers, Georgian’s leadership’s support for providing all customers an extraordinary sales and service experience is key to this sales success throughout the organization. Our culture at Georgian Chevrolet starts with our employees and carries over to our customers.
“We are also very proud of our long-standing relationship with the City of Barrie, our beautiful facility, outstanding selection of product and a sales process that makes our customers feel relaxed throughout the buying process. In fact, you could say, “easy to buy and a pleasure to own.”
Georgian Chevrolet’s Fleet and Commercial Centre is a separate facility from the main Dealership with commercially focused sales, service and parts personnel. It is also an approved GM Business Elite Dealer, which means that not only do they have the dedicated commercial folks and facilities, they also offer a large commercial inventory of work-ready vehicles and commercial loaners to assist with service downtime situations.
“There are 425 GM franchised Dealers in Canada and only 125 GM approved Business Elite Dealers, of which I believe we have the only stand-alone Fleet and Commercial division,” Bradley said.
As the trend to shopping online grows, Georgian Chevrolet Fleet & Commercial also embraces the concept, however, Bradley says many commercial business customers generally have many technical questions and business work needs that aren’t always that easy to find online.
“We would be talking about cargo capacities, trailering capabilities, gas versus diesel engines, axle ratios, upfitting requirements, licencing requirements and CVOR’s to name a few,” he explained.
“I don’t think online shopping has affected vehicle sales in the fleet and commercial world so much as it has enhanced the general awareness level of customers before they visit the dealership. That is always a good thing!”
Of course, 2020 has been and continues to be a challenging year with product availability being an issue for everyone.
Our commitment to the commercial customer hasn’t changed, however, as the 2021 models start arriving.
The best to all!
