The Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) recently unveiled a five-acre parcel of land on Sandford Fleming Drive that will be the future home of The Regional Centre for Pets and People.
“This is our hope for the future,” Sonya Reichel, executive director of the GTHS said in a statement. “Without this land and without this future building, there’s absolutely no way we’re going to be able to continue offering service.”
The plan includes an expanded animal hospital.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to Canada Life for their generous sponsorship, to Tatham Engineering for hosting our celebration,” Reichel said.
“To date, our dedicated community of donors has raised $2.8 million towards our goal. Our Regional Centre for Pets and People will open its doors in 2025, offering hope to our community for the next 25 years and beyond.”
