Contractors wishing to take government contracts must be registered in the Industrial Security Program (ISP).

According to the federal government, any organization (contractors) wishing to work on government contracts must be registered in the Industrial Security Program. That includes any work on Base Borden.

The ISP helps industry to participate in Government of Canada and foreign government contracts, the Barrie Construction Association has reported in its newsletter. ISP provides contract security services to Government of Canada procurement officers and security officers and personnel security for Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) employees.

In order to register in the ISP, an approved source must sponsor you. Defence Construction Canada is an approved source.
