On Saturday, June 17, riders gathered at BCA member Glen Currie’s ‘Currie’s Heavy Towing’ yard and took off for a beautiful, not so sunny ride through Georgian Bay. Once again, this year’s Ride for Cancer was the most successful ever!
Thanks to the Ride for Cancer Committee – Bryony Buchanan, Chase Clark, Paul Cormier, John Cuppage, Scott Everton, Bill Fligg, Mike Kubica, Dave Mayne, Joyce Mayne, Andy Sutton and Scott Ward – who organized the event, we raised more than $14 000.
Past BCA president Scott Ward came up with the idea eight years ago and the event has grown each year since. This year’s route ended at the Grand Tappatto Resort near Parry Sound where riders enjoyed a fantastic barbeque lunch thanks to BCA member Kevin Reptke of Eagle Construction Services.
