Speaking up about U.S. tarrifs: A Message from MP Alex Nuttall

Here is a note received from local Member of Parliament Alex Nuttall

Recently, the United States imposed tariffs on 25 per cent of imported steel, and 10 per cent of imported aluminum, citing national security interests.

For weeks now, Canadian steel and aluminum have been subject to unfair tariffs, which have affected some of our core industries.

I recognize that this is a major concern for those who live in our riding, and Canadians across our great nation. This uncertain trade climate has led to the loss of jobs within our community, and even the threat of businesses closing their doors. Conservatives in Parliament will continue to fight to protect Canadian jobs, Canadian workers and the Canadian economy in this uncertain trade climate.
