On Saturday, June 2, riders gathered at BCA member Glen Currie’s ‘Currie’s Heavy Towing’ yard and took off for a beautiful, sunny ride through Georgian Bay. Once again, this year’s Ride for Cancer was the most successful ever. Thanks to the Ride for Cancer Committee – Bryony Buchanan, Paul Cormier, John Cuppage, Scott Everton, Bill Fligg, Mike Kubica,
Dave Mayne, Joyce Mayne, Andy Sutton and Scott Ward, who organized the event which raised more than $14,000. Thank you for organizing such a successful day.
A very special thanks to rider John Goodlad who has individually raised more than $20,000 in all his years of participation.
Past BCA president Scott Ward came up with the idea for the ride nine years ago, and the event has grown each and every year since. This year’s route ended at the Grand Tappattoo Resort near Parry Sound where the riders enjoyed a fantastic barbeque lunch thanks to BCA member Kevin Reptke of Eagle Construction Services.
