Canada Wood Council’s Toronto Wood Solution Fair has been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), South Building.
“We’ve got a pretty great program this year,” says WoodWORKS! Ontario communications manager Sarah Hicks. ” We have 20 different sessions to choose from including an entire educational track dedicated to presentations about wood-frame mid-rise construction.”
There will be two international speakers: Marina Trifkovic from Norway – she was the lead architect on the 14-storey TREET building (which opens next month and will be the tallest modern timber building), and Joan Tarragon from XTU Architects in France. “He’s going to talk about the French Pavilion at Milan Expo and the Wine Museum in Bordeau (these were the firm’s two main wood projects in 2015),” Hicks said.
“As an aside, the trade show is also going to be great this year. We have had an increase in participation of 30 per cent so there will be quite a few new exhibitors this year.”
The registration fee is $50 plus HST
